  • You can purchase the ad-free PDF versions of my patterns on Etsy.
  • You can print the PDF’s and use them anywhere you want. This way you can also support my works too.

MATERIALS

Yarn – Nako Ombre or any category 5 yarn (a bit more than one skein)

6.5 mm crochet hook

Yarn needle

Scissors

STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS

ch = chain

st(s) = stitch(es)

sl st = slip stitch

blo = back loop only

sc = single crochet

hdc = half double crochet

dc = double crochet

dc2tog = double crochet 2 together

NOTES:

*US crochet terms are used in this pattern.

*The turning chain ch 2 does NOT count as a HDC.

*Total stitches are indicated in between < >.

upper ribbing foundation: ch 13. (the chain number is totally up to you. if you want it longer make more, shorter make less ch)

ROW 1:  hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each st acroos. <11>

ROW 2: ch 2, turn, blo hdc in each st across. <11>

 ROWS 3-24: repeat row 2. (make sure every row has the same amount of sts)

*If you want to make it in different amount of rows, like until it fits your leg, make sure you do an even number of rows.

Now fold the piece in half, drop the working loop, insert hook the first chain space of foundation row and grap the working loop, pull through and ch 1. Insert again into same space and back loop of the last row, grap the yarn and make a sl st. Continue making sl st to end by inserting into both loops of foundation row and only back loop of last row.

Turn the right side of the work.

BODY

From now on, we will work in a spiral which means that you will continue around, making the first dc of each round in the first dc st of the previous round.

ROUND 1: ch 2, dc 3 in each 2 hdc rows until end. You should end up with 36 dc. (don’t join with a sl st at the end)

ROUND 2: into first dc space, make a dc. (you can place a st marker not to get confuse where to start) dc until end.

ROUND 3: dc in each st around.

ROUND 4: dc in each st around until 2 sts left, dc2tog. <35>

ROUND 5-16: continue working only by decreasing at the end of the 4th repeat row. <32>

ROUND 17: dc until 1 st left before the last decrease of previous row, hdc, sc, sl st. do not fasten off. proceed directly bottom ribbing.

bottom ribbing

ch 12, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc all the way down. <11>

find next 2 sts on the base and sl st into those sts, rotate your piece to start working back up the single crochets just made. skip 2 sl sts, blo sc up. repeat this process until end. then join two ends in the same way we did for the upper ribbing.
