As winter approaches, beanie models hit the shelves again. So I wanted to share the written pattern of one of my old hats.
You know I love to make cable stitches and this one is easiest of them. I hope you like it.
Materials
Size 3 yarn
5.5mm hook
Tapestry needle
Stitches used
Chain: ch
Double crochet:dc
Back post double crochet: bpsc
Front post double crochet:fpdc
Stitch: st
Space: sp
Notes
When you see *( )** it means you repeat the instructions in between *( )** Where you see the word turn it means to turn your work clockwise and work back down the row.
Ch multiples of 8. Suggested for woman; Ch72, for men Ch80
Ch72and join to two ends.
Row 1: Ch2(not count these ch,all the rows) and turn back your work and make a dc in the every back loop.
Row 2: Ch2+(*2bpdc+6fpdc)**
Repeat Row2 four times.
Row 7: Ch2+*(2bpdc+ yarn over three times and skip 3 st + insert your hook around from the 4th st,take a yarn and empty your hook in four times like front post+yarn over three times and insert your hook around from the 5th st,take a yarn and empty your hook in four times like front post+yarn over three times and + insert your hook around from the 6th st,take a yarn and empty your hook in four times like front post+yarn over three times,turn to the first st of the front post and insert your hook around from it,and empty your hook in four times like front post+yarn over three times,turn to the 2nd st of the front post and insert your hook around from it,and empty your hook in four times like front post+yarn over three times,turn to the 3th st of the front post and insert your hook around from it,and empty your hook in four times like front post)**
Row 8: Ch2+*(2bpdc+6 fpdc respectively)**
Row 9 and Row 10 as like as Row 8.
Repeat row 7-8-9-10 until your beanie is about 20cm.
You should start to decrease with similar row like to row7.
Row 23: Ch2+*(2bpdc+yarn over three times and skip 4 st + insert your hook around from the 5th st,take a yarn and empty your hook in four times like front post+yarn over three times and+ insert your hook around from the 6th st,take a yarn and empty your hook in four times like front post+yarn over three times,turn to the first st of the front post and insert your hook around from it,and empty your hook in four times like front post+yarn over three times,turn to the 2nd st of the front post and insert your hook around from it,and empty your hook in four times like front post)**
Row 24: Ch2+ *(2bpdc+4fpdc)**
Row 25: Ch2+*( yarn over and insert your hook around from the 1st bpdc of previous row,take a yarn and pull two yarns off from the hook+insert your hook around from the 2nd bpdc of previous row,take a yarn and pull two yarns off from the hook+you have 3 yarns on your hook,take a yarn and pull them off together and decrease to the 1bpdc+4fpdc)**
Row 26: Ch2+*(1bpdc+4fpdc)**
Row 27: Ch2+*(1bpdc+yarn over twice times,skip2 st and insert your hook around from the 4th st and pull yarns off 3 times like front post+yarn over twice times and turn to the 1st and pull yarns off 3 times like front post.)**
Row 28: Ch2+*(skip 1 bpdc of previous row+2fpdc)**
Row 29: Ch2+*(yarn over and take a yarn around from the 1st fpdc of previous row and pull 2 yarns off+yarn over and take a yarn around from the 2nd fpdc of previous row and pull 2 yarns off +pull all yarns off from your hook.)**
You can shrink your beanie because you’ve decreased enough.

Your projects are just fabulous.
Hello Sirin, I really like the look of many of your patterns, such as this beanie. BUT I have problems trying to understand your written instructions. Maybe it’s a language difference, I’m not sure? You have a very calming, soothing voice on videos, but I can’t work as fast as you so I have to start and stop often. I would love to make this beanie but I’m afraid I will have to pass on it
