I love the colour red but I’m usually not sure about using them so often. However when it comes to Crochet Easiest Baby Blanket, I am really satisfied with the color and the yarn I used. I achieved a very useful and eye-catching result.
For the blanket I used Yarn Bee Soft And Sleek Yarn.
Materials
Size 4 yarn 232 yards
5.5mm hook
Tapestry needle
Stitches used
Chain: ch
Double crochet: dc
Stitch: st
Space: sp
Single crochet: sc
Notes
When you see *( )** it means you repeat the instructions in between *( )** Where you see the word turn it means to turn your work clockwise and work back down the row.
Row 1. Ch multiples of 3, and turn, sc 2nd ch from the hook and make a sc every st until the end of the row.
Row 2. Ch 3 and turn. *( skip 2 st and make 2 dc into the 2 ch space. Ch 2 and make a sc into the same space )**repeat across. On the last one make a dc into the last st.
Row 3. Ch 3 and turn.*( make 2 dc, 2 ch , 1 sc)** into the first 2 ch space. Repeat across.
Repeat the last row as long as you want.
Border
First and third side ; Ch3, pull up a loop and make 2 dc in the same st. Ch 2 and pull up a loop from the 2nd and 3rd front loop and make a picot. Then make 3 dc in the same st. Skip 1 dc and make a sc in the 2nd dc. Skip 1 dc and make *( 3 dc in the same st. Ch 2 and pull up a loop from the 2nd and 3rd front loop and make a picot. Then make 3 dc in the same st )**.Skip 1 dc and make a sc in the 2nd dc. Skip 1 dc and make *( )** in the 2nd dc.
At the Corner ; make 4 dc, Ch 2 and pull up a loop from the 2nd and 3rd front loop and make a picot. Pull up a loop and make 4 dc in the same st.
Second and Fourth side ; skip 3 st from the corner and pull up a loop and *(make 3 dc in the 4th st. Ch 2 and pull up a loop from the 2nd and 3rd front loop and make a picot. Make 3 dc in the same st.)**Skip 3 st and make a sc in the 4th st. Skip 3 st and make *( )** Skip 3 st and make a sc in the 4th st. Repeat across.
