I’m here again with a simple blanket tutorial. It’s very sweet, lacy blanket and perfect for even beginners.
It uses only basic stitches but comes out looking far more intricate. It’s easy to make and knowledge of the basic crochet stitches is all that’s required. This pattern includes repetitive stitch patterns and a simple border.
Materials
Size 4 yarn 420m
5.5mm hook
Tapestry Needle
Stitches used
Chain: ch
Double crochet: dc
Single Crochet: sc
Skip stitch: sk
Slip stitch: ss
Space: sp
Notes
When you see *( )** it means you repeat the instructions in between *( ) **. Where you see the word turn it means to turn your work clockwise and work back down the row. Blanket should measure 26inch square when finished. This pattern is done in multiples of 3 so you can make it bigger or smaller by adding or taking away 3 chains.
Row 1. Ch80, into 5th ch from hook do 1dc, (sk2, 1dc,ch1,1dc into next st)* repeat to end.
Row 2. Ch3 and turn, 1dc into ch1, sp, ( 3dc into next ch1 sp)* repeat across doing 1dc into last ch1 sp, 1dc into top of ch3.
Row 3. Ch4 and turn, 1dc into first st, ( sk2 sts, 1dc,ch1,1dc into next st)* repeat to end doing 1dc,ch1,1dc into top of ch3.
