Crochet Elegant Triangle Shawl Written Pattern

The spring has arrived. Get your yarn and hook, start making your own shawl with this easy and absolutely beginner pattern. I hope you love it! 🙂  




MATERIALS

YarnArt Flowers (250g/1000m)

3.5 mm Crochet Hook

Yarn Needle

Scissors



STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS

ch: Chain

st(s): Stitch(es)

sk: Skip Stitches

sc: Single Crochet

dc: Double Crochet

v-st: V stitch

picot : ch 2, insert hook back into the center of the base st, yo, and complete it with a single crochet.



NOTES:

*The shawl is 190 cm in width, and 80 cm in height.

*US crochet terms are used in this pattern.

*The turning chain ch 3 DOES count as a DC.



Row 1: ch 7, dc in 1st ch, ch 3, dc in same st, turn.

Row 2: ch 3, 7 dc in ch1 sp, dc in next st, 7 dc in next ch1 sp, dc in 3rd ch, turn.

Row 3: ch 6, dc in 1st st, ch 1, sk 2, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, sk 2, (V-st, ch 3, dc) in next st, ch 1, sk 2, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, sk 2, V-st in 3rd ch, turn.

Row 4: ch 3, 7 dc in ch3 sp, ch 1, dc in 2nd dc st (group of 3dc), ch 1, [7 dc in next ch3 sp, dc in next dc st] 2 times, ch 1, dc in 2nd st (group of 3dc), ch 1, 7 dc in next ch3 sp, dc in 3rd ch, turn.

Row 5: ch 6, dc in 1st st, ch 1, sk 2, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, sk 2 dc st, V-st in next dc st, ch 1, sk 2, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, sk 2, (V-st, ch 3, dc) in next st, ch 1, sk 2, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, sk 2 , V-st in next dc st, ch 1, sk 2, dc in next 3 sts, ch 1, sk 2, V-st in 3rd ch, turn.

**Repeat Rows 4-5 with increases in each row until the desired length is reached. And make sure that you end up with Row 5.




Border

ch 3, *(dc, picot, dc, picot, dc, picot, dc, picot, dc) in ch3 sp, ch 1, sc in 2nd dc st (group of 3), ch 1, repeat from * until top corner. (dc, picot, dc, picot, dc, picot, dc, picot) in 1st V-st sp, dc in next dc st, picot, (dc, picot, dc, picot, dc, picot, dc) in 2nd V-st sp, *ch 1, sc in 2nd dc st (group of 3), ch 1, (dc, picot, dc, picot, dc, picot, dc, picot, dc) in ch3 sp, repeat from * until next corner, dc in 3rd ch, ch1 and fasten off. Weave in ends.
