Crochet Easy Winter Hat / With Written Pattern

I’m here with a warm easy crochet hat tutorial for the upcoming winter days. For those looking for a model that is both easy to make and very showy.

I crochet this hat for adult woman but in the tutorial I explain how it can be adjust to any size you want. I hope you like this tutorial.

Materials
Size 4 yarn 160m
4.5mm and 5mm hook
1 pom pom
Tapestry needle

Stitches used
Back post double crochet: bpdc.
Chain: ch.
Double crochet: dc.
Decrease: dec.
Front post double crochet: fpdc
Front post triple crochet: fptr
Front loop only: flp.
Loop: lp.
Single crochet: sc
Slip stitch: ss.
Skip: sk.
Space: sp.
Triple crochet: tr.
Triple six together: tr6tog.



Rnd 1. ​Starting with 4.5mm hook. Ch 72, ss into first ch.
Rnd 2.​ Ch 2, using the back bar of the ch do 1 dc in each back bar around, ss in 1st dc. front of ch. back of ch. 72 dc.


Rnd3.​ Ch2, (1 fpdc around 1st dc, 1 bpdc around next dc)* repeat from * to ** around. Ss into 1st fpdc.
Rnd 4-7. ​Repeat Round 3, four more times.
Rnd 8.​ Using 5mm hook Ch 4 (counts as 1 tr) 2 tr, ch 3, 3 tr in same sp, (ch 1, sk 3 sts, 1 sc in next st, ch 1, sk 3 sts, into next st do 3 tr, ch3 and 3 tr in same st)* repeat from * to ** around till there is only 3 sts left and ch1 and ss into top ch of ch 4.
Rnd 9. ​Ss into next 2 sts and into ch3 sp, ch 1, 1 sc into same ch3 sp, ( ch 5, fptr6tog, around the 6 tr, you will have 7 lps on your hook yo, and pull through all 7 lps, ch 1 to close, ch 5, 1 sc in next ch3 sp)* repeat from * to ** around, on your last ch5 ss into first sc.
Rnd 10.​ Ch 1, 1 sc in same sp, ch 1, do 3 tr, ch3, 3 tr into the ch1 closing sp from the fptr6tog, ( ch 1, 1 sc in next sc, ch1, do 3 tr, ch3, 3 tr, into next ch1 closing sp)* repeat from * to ** around. After your last (3 tr, ch 3, 3 tr,) ch1, and ss into 1st sc st.
Rnd 11.​ Ss into ch 1 sp, ss into next 3 tr sts, ss into ch 3 sp, ch 1, 1 sc in same sp, Repeat rnd 9 from * to ** and rnd 10 until it measures a little over 8 inches from start to finish, after each round 10 repeat the ss, sts from the start of rnd 11. Ending with a rnd 10. If you want it slouchy continue till its 9inc.
Rnd 12. ​Ss into ch1 sp, ss into next 3 tr sts, ss into ch 3 sp, ch 1, 1 sc in same sp, (ch2, fptr6tog, ch1 closing sp, ch 2, 1 sc in ch3 sp)* repeat from * to ** around ending with ch2 and ss into 1st sc.
Rnd 13. ​Ch1, 1 sc in same sp, (1 sc in ch2 sp,1 sc in ch1 closing sp, 1 sc in ch2 sp, 1 sc in next sc)* repeat from * to ** around and ss into 1st sc.
Rnd 14. ​Ch1, using the flp sc2tog around. Ss into 1st sc.
Rnd 15. ​Repeat rnd 14 and join with ss into 1st sc, ch1 and cut yarn leave enough to sew up hole. Weave tail in between sc sts around and pull closed pull needle inside of hat tie a knot or two and weave in end.
