Crochet Easy Beginner Baby Blanket Written Pattern

Whether you’re a pro crocheter or you’ve just started, you can easily make this easy beginner baby blanket with using this free written pattern & video tutorial.



This particular crochet pattern is written as a baby blanket, but if you want, you can make an afghan square or a king-sized crochet blanket with it. I used a simple border so you can finish it easier 🙂 I hope you’ll like it.



Materials

Size 3 yarn 250mt

6.0mm hook for blanket

5.5mm hook for the border

Tapestry needle



Stitches used

Chain: ch

Stitch: st

Space: sp

Single crochet: sc

Double crochet:dc

Notes

When you see *( )** it means you repeat the instructions in between *( )** Where you see the word ​turn​ it means to turn your work clockwise and work back down the row.



Ch multiples of 4 than add 3 ch for one time.

Row 1. Make a sc in every st to the end of the row.

Row 2. Ch3 (this is your first dc) and turn.*(Skip 2 st,2dc+ make a dc in the first skip st of previous row+ make a dc in the 2nd skip st of previous row)**



Repeat row 1 and 2 until your blanket reach the size you want.

Border

Row 1:

 1st+3rd side: Ch1+a sc in the first st+*(dc+sc)**

On the corner; dc+ch2+dc

2nd+4th side: *(sc in the sc space of previous row+ (dc+sc) in the dc space of previous row+ dc in the sc of previous row+ (sc+dc) in the dc of previous row)**

When return to the first corner, make a sc+ch1 and sl st to the first ch.



Row 2:

 1st+3rd side: Ch1+a sc in the first st+*(make a dc in the sc space of previous row+make a sc in the dc space of previous row)**

On the corner; dc+ch2+dc

When we turn to the first corner, make a sc+ch1 and sl st to the first ch.



Repeat row 1 and 2 until your border reach the size you want, recommended 6 rows.

Row 7: Ch1+a sc in the first st+ 3sc+make a picot (picot: ch2+insert your hook from the front loop of the sc+insert your hook from the left leg of the  sc . Have 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over and pull of them together.)

Before the last st from the corner is a sc. make a sc+ (2sc+picot+2sc) on the corner+make a sc of the first st after the corner. Continue all over.

When return to the first corner;   (2sc+picot+sc) and sl st to the first ch.
