Crochet Easy Baktus Shawl With Written Pattern

It’s a great idea to make this beautiful baktus shawl in this winter days! The pattern is pretty easy to follow. I hope you like it too..




MATERIALS

4.5 mm Crochet Hook

STITCHES & ABBREVIATIONS

ch = Chain

st(s) = Stitch(es)

sl st = Slip Stitch

sc = Single Crochet

fpsc = Front Post Single Crochet

dc = Double Crochet

dc2tog = Double Crochet 2 Together

v-st = V stitch

pf = Puff Stitch

NOTES:

*Sample is in 130 cm long.

*US crochet terms are used in this pattern.

*’2DC’ means place 2 DC into the same stitch.

*The turning chain ch 2 does NOT count as a DC but counts as a decrease. So, when you chain 2, skip the first stitch and work in the next stitch.

*The turning chain ch 3 DOES count as a DC. Skip the first stitch and work in the next stitch.

*Total stitches are indicated in between < >.



ROW 1: ch 4, 2dc into 4th ch from hook, turn. <3>

ROW 2: ch 3, dc in each st across, turn. <4>

ROW 3: ch 3, 2dc in next st, dc in each st across, turn. <5>

ROWS 4-59: repeat rows 2 and 3. you will have 61 sts in row 59.



ROW 60: ch 2, dc in next st, dc in each st across, turn. <60>

ROW 61: ch 3, dc until 2 sts left, dc2tog, turn. <59>

ROW 62: ch 2, dc in next st, dc in each st across, turn. <58>

**Repeat rows 61 and 62 until 2 dcs left.



Border

change the yarn

insert hook into the st where you finish the body, grap the yarn, ch 1 and sc into same st. we will work in the finishing stitches of double crochets or beginning chains, not around them.

round 1: insert hook into the st where you finish the body, grap the yarn, ch 1 and sc into same st, *ch 1, v-st, ch 1, sc, repeat from * until 1 st left before the next (top) corner, dc, ch1, into the top corner st ( v-st, ch3, v-st), *ch1, sc into next st, v-st, ch 1, repeat from * until next corner, 3 sc in corner st. for the long edge of the shawl, place 1 sc around the dc, and 1 sc into the st. repeat it until next corner. 2 sc into last st, and join with a sl st to the first sc.

**in round two, we will work on two short edges.

round 2: ch 1, sc into ch1 sp,*fpsc around the dc, pf in v-st sp, fpsc around the dc, sc in next 2 ch1 sp, repeat from * until ch3 sp. 5 dc in ch3 sp, *fpsc, pf, fpsc, sc in next 2 ch1 sp, repeat from * until next corner, join with a sl st. fasten off. weave in ends.

Make 3 tassels and attach them into the corners.
