Crochet Double-sided Interlocking Stitch Written Pattern

Crochet Interlocking Blanket Stitch is seems difficult but ıt’s very easy. If you know how to make single crochet, double crochet and chains you can make this pattern easily. anyone who sees this model will not believe you are a beginner.

Two sides are different from each other and if you want you can use it on both sides. This stitch is very suitable for cardigans and blankets and this way you can use it like two different blankets or cardigans

Materials

Any size yarn and hook.

Some scissors

Tapestry needle



Stitches used

Chain: ch

Single crochet:sc

Double crochet:dc

Slip stitch:sl st

Stitch: st



Notes

When you see *( )** it means you repeat the instructions in between *( )** Where you see the word ​turn​ it means to turn your work clockwise and work back down the row.



Pattern

Ch multiples of 7+4.

Row 1 (color A):Skip 1st st and insert the 2nd st and make a sc+make 1sc of 2st+*(Ch7+skip 4st+insert the 5th st and make a sc+make 1 sc of 2st)** at the end of this row, leave the yarn on this side. You can see in photo1.



Row2 (color B): Take the 2nd color and insert your hook from the begining st of Row1 and make a sl st. You can see in photo2. Ch1+make a sc in the 1st st+make 1sc of 2st+*(make 4dc in Row1’s st, make your dc behind the Ch7. You can see in photo3.+make 1sc of 3st)**



Row3(color B):Ch1 and turn. Make a sc in every st. At the end of the row leave the yarn on this side.

Row4(color A):Take the first color. Make a sl st in the 1st st+Ch3+make 1dc of 2st+*(Ch3+insert your hook from the Ch7 sp and grab the yarn and make a sc. You can see in photo5. Ch3+skip 4st and insert the 5th st of Row4 and make a dc. You can see in photo4. Make 1dc of 2st)**



Row5(color A): As same as Row1. Ch1 and turn. Make 1 sc of 3st+*(Ch7+make 1 sc of 3st)**At the end of the row leave the yarn on this side.

Row6(color B):As same as Row2. Start from the other side and take the 2nd color, make a sl st.+Ch1+*(make a sc of 3st+make 4dc (loosey dc) in Row3’s st, make your dc behind the Ch7. You can see in photo5.



Row7(color B):As same as Row3. Ch1 and turn.Make a sc in every st.Leave this yarn on this side.

Row8(color A):As same as Row4.

Repeat Row 1-2-3-4 to desired length.



Finishing Row of Blanket

The last row is made in row4 repetition.

Tha last row(color A):*(3sc+insert your hook both through the st of the last row and the st in Ch7, make 4sc. Drop a total of 3 ch from start and end. You can see in photo6.)**
