This crochet square was inspired by the cosmos itself, that’s why I named it as “Cosmos Square”. It is a very easy and unique pattern everyone can make.
It’s a great square for a cushion or you can use it for a blanket. I try to explain every detail in the video and I’m working on the written pattern. I hope I can finish and share it with you soon.
I use Yarn Bee Soft&Sleek yarn (4 Ply) and 4,5mm crochet hook. It’s 13 x 13 inches square. You can make it one colour or you can choose your colours and make your own designs.
Thanks to lovely Rachel Websdale (rachelweb31). With her hardwork we have a written pattern now
Materials.
4.5mm hook
Size 4 / Aran Yarn approx 260m
Tapestry needle
Stitch marker
Stitches used are US terms.
Slip Stitch: ss. Stitch(es): st(s). Chain: ch. Skip stitch: sk.
Chain space: ch-sp. Single Crochet: sc. Double Crochet: dc. Half Double: hdc. Treble: tr. Popcorn st: pc. Back loop only: blo. Front loop only: flo. Yarn over: yo. Space: sp. Notes.
The popcorn stitch is formed by double crocheting 5 times in the same stitch, removing the hook from your 5th double crochet loop, inserting it through your first double crochet stitch and grabbing the 5th double crochet loop through the back and pulling it through. You will then fasten the popcorn stitch off by chaining one.
Round 15/16 you will be doing a crossed double crochet left for round 15 and right for round 16, both rounds will make a herringbone pattern.
